Soak the Sin Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
I've got to buy some shoes
These ones are getting loose
My feet are shrinking in the sun and it ain't fun
But it looks like rain up ahead in forty milesA big rainbow took the blue sky
I'm gonna tell my momma, I love her so
Thank you for giving me these bones o' gold
Yeah, jump in the river and the water soak the sin in my soulFine time we all crossed lines
Make the music that makes us feel fine
Rednecks on sun decks hearing a hillside Romeo say
Boys this is the good shit, so come on all and eat a little bitAnd if I ever go back home, I'm gonna set

And tell my momma, I love her so
Thank you for giving me these bones o' gold
Yeah, jump in the river and the water soak the sin in my soulSoak the sin in my soul
Soak the sin in my soul
Soak the sin in my soulDon't even say a word, it confuses me
What he says to do is that we don't have toNo, no, no, said we don't have to
Said we don't have to
Said we don't, we don't, we don't have to
Said we don't have to

Blind Melon is a rock band from Los Angeles, United States. They were active from 1989 to 1999, and then from 2006 onward. Best remembered for their 1993 single "No Rain", the group enjoyed critical and commercial success in the early 1990s with their neo-psychedelic take on alternative rock. The 1995 death of lead vocalist Shannon Hoon halted the band's activity, and the members went on hiatus until officially disbanding in 1999. The band reformed with new lead vocalist Travis Warren in 2006, and although Warren departed two years later, he has since resumed performing with the band.
