If AT THE DRIVE-IN had experienced a love affair with PORTISHEAD, DEVIANZ would have been their offspring. Soft as a subtle pop song. Rough as a skinned rock. À corps interrompus (With interrupted bodies), second album by the band, sounds like an american movie soundtrack in which the characters would sing catchy choruses in a sensitive and poetic French.
Vincent Cavanagh, from the english band Anathema, put his faith and vocal talent into the carnally epic song "Ton corps n'est qu'atome" ("Your body is nothing but atoms"), along with his arrangement skills.
