Solid As a Rock Lyrics

They can't keep a gooda man down
Always keep a smile when they want me to frowns
Keep the vibes and they stood my grounds
They will never ever take my crownWho Jah bless I say no man curse
Things gettin' better when they thought it would be worse
Here comes the officers askin' for a search
They found no weapon just only a draw of herbs'Cause I'm so solid as a rock, they just can't stop me now
Even when they set their traps, they just can't stop me now
People will say this and that, they just can't stop me now
Even when they set up road blocks, they just can't stop me nowWhen they come with their evilest thoughts
I just listen whenever they talk
Jah is the light into my dark
He cut and tear my pathThey fight without a cause
Tryin' to make my life so hard
The King of kings and the Lord of Lords
Give it all rewardsI'm so solid as a rock, they just can't stop me now
Even when they set there traps, they just can't stop me now
People will say this and that, they just can't stop me now

Even when they set up road blocks, they just can't stop me nowSo don't you mix me up with your dirty games
You're only tryin' to tarnish my name
You're only lookin' for the innocent to blame
When your the ones who issue the guns down the laneYou only cause destruction and frame
But the righteous will lives and reigns
Love is all I got to give and I'm not ashamed
Lookin' towards the future, this lion can't tame'Cause I'm so solid as a rock and they just can't stop me now
Even when they set there traps, they just can't stop me now
People will say this and that, they just can't stop me now
Even when they set up road blocks, they just can't stop me nowSo they can't keep a gooda man down
Always keep a smile when they want me to frowns
Keep the vibes and they stood my grounds
They will never ever take my crownWho Jah bless I say, "No man curse "
Things gettin' better when they thought it would be worse
Here comes the officers askin' for a search
They found no weapon just a only draw of herbsSo solid as a rock, they just can't stop me now

Sizzla Kalonji (real name Miguel Orlando Collins) is a Jamaican reggae musician. He was born on 17 April 1976, in St Mary, Jamaica, of devout Rastafari parents and raised in August Town. He is unusually prolific, even by Jamaican standards. Sizzla has worked with such artists as Mobb Deep.

Sizzla, along with reggae recording artists such as Capleton, Buju Banton, and Anthony B, are credited with leading a movement toward a re-embracement of Rastafarian values in contemporary reggae music by recording material which is concerned primarily with spirituality, social consciousness, explores common themes, such as Babylon's corrupting influence, the disenfranchisement of ghetto youth, oppression of the black nation and Sizzla's abiding faith in Jah and resistance against perceived agents of oppression. Sizzla has over 40 full completed albums sold in record stores to date, the most popular which have been "Black Woman & Child" and "Da Real Thing" on the Digital B label, "Praise Ye Jah" on Xterminator, and "Rise to the Occasion" on Greensleeves.

Recently, however, he has come under fire for the homophobic content of many of his lyrics, and the advocacy of violence against gays.
