Somebody Knew Lyrics

Susie said she'd seen you and you were doing fine
Then Billy butted in and changed the subject for the umpteenth time
Julie walked up and said hello then pretended she didn't know
But I could tell when the tears welled up in her eyesSomebody knew but they weren't saying
All of my friends would just look away
And change the subject when the subject came to you
They'd act like they knew nothing
But I knew they were hiding something
Somebody knew you found somebody newJohnny said last he'd heard you were moving away
Well, I think he knew where to but he wouldn't say
Molly walked up and said there's a new girl in town
Would it be okay if she brought her around
And answered what I'd been wondering about all day?Somebody knew but they weren't saying
All of my friends would just look away
And change the subject when the subject came to you
They'd act like they knew nothing
But I knew they were hiding something
Somebody knew you found somebody newSomebody knew you found somebody new
