Somebody Loves You Lyrics

She writes poetry
She plays the violin
She tries to play the part
Somehow she never wins
She grabs a stick of gum
After her cigarette
She puts on a smile
And tries to hide a messAnd makes herself a home in loneliness
And fixes her dress
Somebody loves you
Somebody loves you
Somebody loves you
Just the way you are
And I can't fix you
And I can't change you
But I can love you
Just the way you are
Just the way you areShe drives a rusted car

It's always out of gas
She paints her fingernails
Every shade of black
She makes mistakes
She makes them laugh
She tries so hard
Not to let me down
When will she just learn to love herself?
Oh really love herselfSomebody loves you
Somebody loves you
Somebody loves you
Just the way you are
And I can't fix you
And I can't change you
But I can love you
Just the way you areI'm here, I'm not going anywhere
I'm scared you go too far
When tear can turn into an ocean of regret
So don't forgetSomebody loves you
Somebody loves you
Somebody loves you
Just the way you are
And I can't fix you
And I can't change you
But I can love you
Just the way you areSomebody loves you
Somebody loves you
Somebody loves you
Just the way you are
And I can't fix you
No I can't change you
But I can love you
Just the way you areOh how I love you
Just the way you are
Just the way you areSomebody loves you
Somebody loves you
Somebody loves you
Just the way you are

Singer/songwriter Tiffany Arbuckle-Lee fronted the Dove Award-winning alternative rock band Plumb during the late '90s, and adopted the name Plumb for her subsequent full-fledged solo career. She was born in Indianapolis and grew up in Atlanta, where she took several gigs as a backup singer and wound up touring in that capacity instead of going to college, as she'd planned. She relocated to Nashville, where she landed a record deal based on her session and backup work, and formed Plumb with neighbor/songwriter/producer Matt Bronleewe.
