Someone Like Me - Ophelia of the Spirits

If Eric Satie & Led Zeppelin had a female love child it would be Ophelia of the Spirits. Releasing her debut EP in May 2008, she is a character who inhabits the realm of the ephemeral, exploring the shifting balance between the beauty and the darkness of existence with her live show. Featuring a 5-piece band with an eclectic array of instruments including amplified violin, Irish banjo, the musical saw and the much-lauded but ever-elusive Tibetan singing bowls, all accompanied by soundscapes and trance-like visual projections, at the heart of it all is Ophelia and her paramour, the piano. Drawing comparison to artists like Tori Amos and Dead Can Dance, Ophelia of the Spirits takes her audience on a fantastical journey of the unknown.
