Someone Lyrics

It must be awful cold up on the moon
It's dark and it's dusty, there's nothin' much to do
Maybe right now you think that's where you gotta stay
One of these nights when you feel lost and far awaySomeone will come, someone who's been needin' someone too
Somewhere out there waitin' for a chance at lovin' you
And you're gonna let him, I just wish I knew how long it'll be
Before you ever see the someone is meYou lie awake and listen for a sound
And prayin' for your angel to just come swoopin' down
And even though you're not expectin' one to come along
Better leave the porch light burnin' just in case you're wrongSomeone will come, someone who's been needin' someone too
Somewhere out there waitin' for a chance at lovin' you
And you're gonna let him, I just wish I knew how long it'll be
Before you ever see the someone is meYou may not believe it when you're out there by yourself
But there's someone who's never wanted anybody elseSomeone will come, someone who's been needin' someone too
Somewhere out there waitin' for a chance at lovin' you
And you're gonna let him, I just wish I knew how long it'll be
Before you ever see the someone is me

Sawyer Brown is a country music band formed in 1981 at a Pizza Hut restaurant in Apopka, Florida. Lead singer Mark Miller asked keyboardist Gregg "Hobie" Hubbard to play piano for a couple of songs he had written. The two left for Nashville, Tennessee, where they met up with Florida drummer Joe Smyth, Michigan bass player Jim Scholten and original lead guitarist Bobby Randall. They first called the band "Savanah", but renamed themselves "Sawyer Brown" after Sawyer Brown Road, the street where they rehearsed.
