Someone Worse Off Lyrics

I'm slowly being dragged
I'm so low
But I will never bid
I'm so lowThere's only one cure
To kill misery
There's one cure
There's one cure
But I feel so low
There's someone worse off
There's someone worse offSome people make believe that it's love
And other people say that it's lies
But I know it's hate
My heart is a stone
There's one cure
There's no cure
But I feel so lowThere's someone worse off
There's always someone much worse offThere's someone worse off
There's always someone much worse off

The magazine's a new sin
I'm not getting dragged down to me
People sending strings
They're dragged down to meThere's someone worse off
There's always someone much worse off

There are 2 bands with this name. 1. McCarthy were a British indie pop band, formed in Barking, East London in 1985 by schoolmates Malcolm Eden, Tim Gane, John Williamson and Gary Baker. They mixed a sweetly melodic style, dominated by Gane's 12-string guitar playing, with Eden's overtly political lyrics, often satirical in tone, which reflected the band's far left leanings. After a string of singles, including 'Red Sleeping Beauty' and 'Frans Hals', and a track on the NME c86 album, their debut album 'I Am A Wallet' was released in 1987 to much critical acclaim.
