Somethin' 4 da Honeyz Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
Oh yeah, coming right back at cha,
with a different type of swing
You know, you better ask somebody
Baby, this is for you, and you, and definitely youI'm the type of guy who takes time to just kick back
I turn around my baseball cap
I have a 40 sitting on my lap
Slamming the ivories until I sees
a female worth my while
I'm scoping it, checking a smile
And I know that I can get it

and I'll hit it if she's with it
I get the 5 to the 6-7 digits
call her up on my cellular
And all the shit that I'll say to her
The fun will begin when I hit the skizins
So if a girlie is lonesome
I think that she knows where to go when she wants some
'cause Monty ain't here for nothing but I gotta let all1-Somethin' 4 da Honeyz, Somethin' 4 da Honeyz
Somethin' 4 da Honeyz, Somethin' 4 da HoneyzSummertime, no funner time for me to kick in with you
To find some things I wanna get into
I call up my crew I tell them bring a brew
And some Hennessey for the beach party
So call up your girlfriends
And you know there always tends to be an ugly one
But bring her, too
Fat or skinny she likes to shoop
with Montell and the SL Coup
While the beat is bumpin' from South Central to Compton
A little somethin' somethin'Could very well be the next Aaron Neville
Sounding like nobody 'cause I'm on another level
And ya fellas can't take it with a shovel
But it ain't for you
(rpt 1)This is somethin' for the honeyz
When you're rolling
Summertime, oh so fine
It feels all right
Summertime tonight, something for you honeyThe "M" "O" the "N" "T" the "E" double "L" "L"
And yes I'm guaranteeing that I won't be felon
Some people call me Monty, some call me Monty Swinger
Sometimes I bust around but I'm an R&B singer
And I'm a go on and flow on
And you tell two friends and she'll tell two
and so on and so on
Another number 1 hit so get your roll on
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
(rpt 1...ad lib to fade)

Montell Du'Sean Jordan (born December 3, 1968 in Los Angeles, California) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer. Jordan was the first R&B artist signed to the Def Jam label, and became the main male artist on its Def Soul imprint until leaving the label in 2003.

Jordan attended Pepperdine University in California to pick up a bachelor's degree in communications, graduating summa cum laude and was a state finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship.

Jordan's first single was the 1995 #1 hit single "This Is How We Do It", and defined his hip hop soul musical style. "This Is How We Do It" and its follow-up, "Somethin' 4 Da Honeyz", show a strong hip hop influence, and Jordan's material fit alongside the rest of Def Jam's output. Future hits would include "Let's Ride" with Master P in 1998 and "Get It on Tonite" in late-1999.

Besides crafting his own material, Jordan has written and produced for a number of outside artists, including Christina Milian, 98 Degrees, Deborah Cox ("Nobody's Supposed to Be Here", 1998), and Sisqó (the number-one hit "Incomplete", 2000). The singer has had cameo roles in the films "The Fighting Temptations" and "The Nutty Professor."

Jordan left Def Soul in 2003 and released the album "Life After Def" on Koch Records.

Jordan released his 7th project - "Let It Rain" - on October 21, 2008.

In 2010, Jordan left the music business to become a minister. As he explained on his Twitter feed, the decision is "a calling that’s probably been with me all my life since I was a child. And I’ve known it. A lot of people in the business know it and have the same calling but that leap of faith is difficult."
