Something Happens when You Touch Me Lyrics

I often wondered if the time would come
When I would feel settled with somebody
It's really hard to be alone
When you're not sure who you wanna be
And then I found I'd ran aground
No longer could I hang around with nobody
But when we sat side by side
I knew that I'd never tried
You took me out of the crowd
I just wanna shout out loudSomething happens when you touch me
Something happens when you touch me
Something happens when you touch me thereMany times I told myself
You're sitting here left on the shelf
All by yourself
And nobody gets younger now'days
Living good is something that we all know pays
I've faced an empty life ahead
Buth then I've found you instead

To show the way
And when you took hold of my hand
I knew I couldn't understand
It's not my fault that we fell down
You make my head go round and roundSomething happens when you touch me
Something happens when you touch me
Something happens when you touch me thereI don't know what you've got
But you sure got a lot
More than enough for me
See me today and all days
I want you now and always
Just say the word and I'll drop everything
Everything oh la laSomething happens when you touch me
Something happens when you touch me
Something happens when you touch me there
Ooh la la la ...When you took hold of my hand
I knew I could never understand
It's not my fault that we fell down
You make my head go round and roundSomething happens when you touch me
Something happens when you touch me
Somehting happens when you touch me there
Something happens when you touch me
Something happens when you touch me
Something happens when you touch me there

In the 60's, Colin Blunstone was the lead singer of The Zombies, a british band that developed a distinctive, jazzy sound, in which his soft, laid-back, almost hesitant voice was offset against the equally soft, but flexible and pointy instruments of organ, drum, and bass. The Zombies disbanded. In the early 70's, Blunstone re-emerged as a solo act, and scored several major hits. The music featured rhythm guitar now and ranged from string arranged melodies, to rock, to American folk.
