Something More Lyrics

Something More
You say that there's no mystery
No spirits move, no angels fly for you
There is no ghost in the machine
No consequence for anything you do
And all you ever say to me
Is It's all materiality
And nothing can exist outside those fences
Your ego grows so high and wide
You hide your emptiness inside
And deny anything beyond your senses
That you are choosing to ignore
But I know there's something more

Advantages you took in stride
Some other person fought and died to win
The sacrifice your parents made
Just hastened them into the grave it seems
It's easy come and easy go
To you it's just a pointless show
And everything exists for no reason
There's nothing hidden, nothing lost
No need too ever weigh the cost
No escape from this hollow, empty prison
And you have no idea what it's for
But I know there's something more
In the final mile you may stop and rest a while and listen
All the pain and all the tears fade away and you can hear a key
Turning behind that door
You say that there's no mystery
No spirits move, no angels fly for you
There is no ghost in the machine
No consequence for anything you do
And all you ever say to me
Is It's all materiality
And nothing can exist outside those fences
Your ego grows so high and wide
You hide your emptiness inside
And deny anything beyond your senses
That you are choosing to ignore
But I know there's something more
