Something Real (feat. Rob Caggiano) Lyrics

Are there voices in your head?
Are you like the living dead?
Infected, infected
Do you always feel alone?
Do you feel it in your bones?
Rejected, rejectedAll I'm really trying to say
Is that I've felt the same wayWhat I've done, where I've been
That's what makes me the way I am
Fight to live, live to fail
I just want to make something real
I, I wanna make something real
I, I wanna make something real
Do you take your medicine
Removing all the evidence
Collected, disconnected
Is the pistol in your hand
Or are you on the other end
Perspective... can you correct this? All I'm really trying to say

Is that I've felt the same wayWhat I've done, where I've been
That's what makes me the way I am
Fight to live, live to fail
I just want to make something real
Won't give up, won't give in
That's what makes me the way I am
I can't sum, how I feel
I just want to make something real
I, I wanna be something real
I, I wanna be something real
All I'm really trying to say
Is that I've feel the same wayWhat I've done, where I've been
That's what makes me the way I am
Fight to live, live to fail
I just want to make something real
Won't give up, won't give in
That's what makes me the way I am
I can't sum, how I feel
I just want to make something real
I, I wanna feel something real
I, I wanna feel something real

Formed in 2012, DEVOUR THE DAY is born from the brain trust of Joey Chicago (Bass, Vocals, Songwriter) and Blake Allison (Lead singer, Guitar, Songwriter and Producer). Having much success with the band Egypt Central, Blake and Joey sought to break out on their own, writing and producing music without compromise. Joey explains, “Our lives got to a point that we had lost trust, we lost our
compassion, feeling and our way.” The water was so murky we didn’t know which way was up.” What we did know is that we should keep writing and keep fighting because that was the truth and our center.”
