Something's Wrong Lyrics

Here we are, half past dead on Friday night
In a bar, serving up confidence and fightsYou were right when you told me I was wrong
When I said friends as sick these never last long
And all the boys celebrate their gender of victory
Keep preying on the weak, and the girls celebrate defeatSomething's wrong with this one I can't be the first one with the strength to curse my generation
Something's wrong, there's something's wrong with meNot to say that I know any more than you
but at least I can admit, to care is the hardest thing we do
You were right when you told me I was wrong
When I say, "We don't need to be blinded for so long."Something's wrong with this one I can't be the first one with the strength to curse my generation
Something's wrong Before you leave then close your tab
Raise a glass to the death of the generation gap
Unless of course you've got other plansWho do you think you are?
And how do you ever get this way?
Putting lust above humanity and calling it okay
You were wrong when you told me I was right
when I said pleasure comes in ways you can't defineSomething's wrong with this one I can't be the first one with the strength to curse my generation
Something's wrong Something's wrong, is something wrong with me?

Formed in October of 2000, Bayside consisted of four musicians looking for a chance to play music the rest of their lives. They recorded a demo and the band began playing shows around Long Island, NY. They quickly caught the eye of Brooklyn, New York's Dying Wish Records, who released their first EP, "Long Stories Short", featuring the songs "Foot Impressions", "Days Of My Life", "Red Head VS. The Pretty Red Bracelet", "Downtime", "Ask For It", and "Advance Letter Goodbye".
