Somewhere Somebody Lyrics

Mirror, mirror on the wall
Tell me it'll be alright
All I want is to find someone
Who can end these lonely nights, ohI get up even though I feel
Like I can't face another day
I tell myself I won't cry no more
But I cry anywayOh, I keep searching high and low
For the one thing I need (for the one thing I need)
'Cause I'm lost on a rocky road
Gotta see where it leads
'Cause still I believeSomewhere, somebody
Somebody's waiting for me
Somewhere, somebody
Mmm, I just wonder where he can beComing up, yeah
Just gotta be there, somewhereBeneath the street light on the corner
Or way across the seven seas
Close at hand or too far away
Or maybe just too close to seeHow long can this heart of mine

Just hold on to a dream
Mmm, but I don't know if I'll ever find
The love that I need
But still I believe thatSomewhere, somebody
Somebody's waiting for me
Somewhere, somebody (somebody)
Mmm, I just wonder where he can be(Somewhere, somebody)
Mmm, where's that boy, where is he?
(Somewhere, somebody)
Ah, he's gotta be (waiting) somewhereOh, I get up even though I feel
Like I can't face another day
Ah huh, and I don't know
If I'll ever find
The love that I need
But still I believe (hmmm)Somewhere, somebody (oh)
Somebody's waiting for me
Somewhere, somebody (somebody)
Mmm, I just wonder where he can be[Repeat above 4 lines (ad-lib) to fade]

Five Star, a five-piece British dance pop group inspired by funky soul, is internationally famous for a run of success in the 80s. They released three platinum selling albums from 1985 to 1987. Their flashy, self-made costumes and energetic dance routines appealed well to the surging new wave movement. Five Star are siblings Deniece (later to be called 'Denise') Pearson (lead vocals/song writer), Stedman Pearson (costume designer), Lorraine Pearson (spokesperson & song writer), Doris Pearson (choregrapher) and Delroy Pearson (song writer & producer).
