Well, kids, if you were there, you'd know, but as you probably weren't, Vehicle Derek were the epitome of late '80's enthusiastic provincial hardcore punk. Formed in Boston, Lincolnshire in 1988, they not only played their way out of the tedium of a small town, but they even survived into the 90's and cut a record. Those who were there at the time remember hot, excited, gigs, running at 2000mph, blowing away dried up old goths, sad old metallers and oxfam socialist indie janglers and delivering the kind of stuff you ended up wondering if you had actually seen.
