Songs About Me, Songs About You Lyrics

Well, you can move it on down the highway
You can turn another page
And when you finally get to the old folk's home
Then you can finally act your ageI can make a million dollars
And you can spend it as fast as it comes
And you can sit there and cry on a bed full of lies
And be thinking that you got you someThere'll be songs about me, there'll be songs about you
There'll be songs about everything from money to blues
But there won't be no songs of regret
'Cause I ain't wrote no songs like that yet
No, I ain't wrote no songs like that yetYou can hear me on the radio
You can see me on TV
You'll have to dig you a hole just to find your soul
And get you a word from meYou can run as fast as an hour glass
You can fly as high as the wind
See, you can be strong for as long as you'd like
But you'll end up right back where you've beenThere'll be songs about me, there'll be songs about you
There'll be songs about everything from money to blues

But there won't be no songs of regret
'Cause I ain't wrote no songs like that yetI've got a song for every occasion
I've been told I got a way with words
I've been told that I'd be loved forever
I've been sold on the lies that I heardI've been bold in my days, I've been gold in my ways
I've been packed up and rolled out and thrown out away
I belong to a song, for as long as I say
But I'll always have a song to playThere'll be songs about me, there'll be songs about you
There'll be songs about everything from money to blues
But there won't be no songs of regret
'Cause I ain't wrote no songs like that yetThere'll be songs about me, there'll be songs about you
There'll be songs about everything from money to blues
But there won't be no songs of regret
'Cause I ain't wrote no songs like that yetNo, I ain't wrote no songs like that yet
No, I ain't wrote no songs like that yet
Baby, I ain't wrote no songs like that yet
Oh, I ain't wrote no songs like that yetNo, I ain't wrote no songs like that yet
I ain't wrote no songs like that yet
I ain't wrote no songs like that yet
Baby, I ain't wrote no songs like that yet

Uncle Kracker (born Matthew Shafer 9 November 1974 in Mount Clemens, Michigan) is an American rock and roll and country music musician.

He started out his career at a young age as a fledgling rapper. He met Kid Rock in 1987, and Rock asked Kracker to become his DJ. Kracker did not know how to work the turntables, but he soon learned how to, and he became a long-term friend and colleague of Rock.

Kracker worked with Kid Rock until he became a solo artist in 2000.

The My Hometown Songfacts reports that Kracker recorded Postcards From Home over seven weeks in early 2011. The album title was inspired by his hectic life on the road after his successful Happy Hour longplayer.
