Sorry Lyrics

When your time on the mountain is over
And you fall to the earth like a leaf,
It isn’t enough this time to say sorry,
Sorry won’t pay for this greave
You may lay your guilt on the altar
Who nail you remorse to the cross
But it’s not enough this time to say sorry
Sorry won’t pay for this lost
And when the blood on your hands turns to water
And the night on your soul turns to day
It won’t be enough this time to say sorry
Sorry won’t force it all the way
You may lay your guilt on the altar
Nail you remorse to the cross
But it not enough this time to say sorry

Sorry won’t pay for this lost
When you’re through with the spells you’ve been spinning
When you’re hopes and dreams have all died
It won’t be enough this time to say sorry
Sorry won’t turn back the time
And if you should desist from the seeding
And if you should confess to the crime
It won’t be enough this time to say sorry
Sorry won’t save you this time
You may lay your guilt on the altar
Who nail your remorse to the cross
It’s not enough this time to say sorry
Sorry won’t pay for this lost

There is more than one artist with this name, an Irish folk band as well as a French rock band: 1. Irish jigs abound, as well as some subtle influences from modern rock and jazz. They have been hailed as the greatest folk band in the world today. Formed in 1996, the band's original lineup consisted of Seamus Egan (flute, tenor banjo, mandolin, tin whistle/low whistle, guitar, bodhrán), Winifred Horan (fiddle), John Doyle (guitar), John Williams (accordian), and Karan Casey (lead vocals). Over the years, only Egan and Horan have stayed with the band.
