South of the Border Lyrics

I know a freaky young lady
Name of no shame Katie
She makes my temperature freeze
She's got a blood red powder
When she gives a shout
She'll bring you to your kneesWell, we were being clever
Playing God games forever
She said, she only meant to please
But I'm someone's brother
Got a father and a mother
You know, I'm gonna have to leaveSouth of the border
I think you oughtaSouth of the border
I think you oughta'Cos you know you're gonna have to leave
To a place where you can breathe
And you know there's no reprieveThere'll be tears on leaving
But there won't be no grieving
'Cos a city soon forgets
To me it's magic

To the landlord it's tragic
He's got another room to letThere'll be the same old faces
In the same old places
Where my youth was well misspent
But I toe the line and move in time
To a town called no regretsSouth of the border
I think you oughtaSouth of the border
I think you oughta'Cos you know you're gonna have to leave
To a place where you can breathe
And you know there's no reprieveYeah, yeah
Ooh, oh, yeah
Ooh, oh, yeah'Cos you know you're gonna have to leave
To a place where you can breathe'Cos you know you're gonna have to leave
To a place where you can breathe
And you know there's no reprieve
Yeah

Robert Peter Williams (born 13 February 1974, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire) is an English singer, songwriter, and record producer. While Williams' early pop career started with the hit boy band Take That, he has found far greater success since taking his leave in 1995. Williams has sold over 70 million records worldwide, which ranks him among the best-selling music artists worldwide. He is the best-selling British solo artist in the United Kingdom and the best selling non-Latino artist in Latin America.

Six of his albums are among the top 100 biggest-selling albums in the United Kingdom. He has also been honoured with seventeen BRIT Awards—more than any other artist—and seven ECHO Awards. In 2004, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame after being voted as the "Greatest Artist of the 1990s."

The Candy Songfacts reports that Williams teamed up with his Take That bandmate Gary Barlow, to write the first single from his ninth studio album, Take The Crown. "Candy" will be released October 29, 2012.
