Intrepid Psych-Pop trailblazers, The Van Allen Belt are on a mission to elevate. Since their 2007 debut "Meal Ticket To Purgatory" they have pressed onward into uncharted territory of concept and production culminating in the 2010 release "Superpowerfragilis: Or How I Learned To Stop Caring And Love The Drug".
Employing a sonic who's who of music over the last century The Van Allen Belt have created an unprecedented musical style. From Scott Walker and Yma Sumac to Faith No More and Tone Loc, TVAB show no stylistic boundaries in their sound or influence. However, they maintain a consistently identifiable quality of their own combining inventive use of sampling, live instrumentation, and one of the most distinctive singers in the music world.
