Spirit of the Wild Lyrics

Toby was alive and feelin' free
Cutin' loose to see what he could see
Searchin' for a friend to share my time
Lookin' for a mountin I can climb
Aint afraid of death or no voodoo
Do the best that I can doWith the spirit of the wild runnin' free
I got the spirit of the wild inside of me,YeaAngry at the state of world afairs
Angry at the fools that just don't care
This is guarenteed to go no where
Even like a dog, that's been abused
I will never ever looseWith the spirit of the wild inside of me
I got the spirit of the wild runnin' free
I got the spirit of the wild inside of me, Yea!Got the spirit of the wild yea!Won't believe the lie that time will tell
Gonna tell the world to go to theSpirit of the wild is runnin' free
I got the spirit of the wild inside of me, Yea, YEA!
Spirit of the wild, is runnin' free, I got the spirit of the wild
I got the spirit of the wild inside of me,oh yea
Can you feel it, Can you feel it,got the spirit, of the wild

I got the spirit of the wild inside of me,oh
Can you feel it
Can you feel it
Can you feel it
Spirit of the wild, of the wild
Oh yeah
Oh yeah

Theodore Anthony "Ted" Nugent (born December 13, 1948) (aka "The Nuge", "Motor City Madman", "Uncle Ted" or just plain Ted) is a guitarist from Detroit, Michigan.

He originally gained fame as a guitarist for the The Amboy Dukes, a psychedelic rock band from the late 60's best known for their hit "Journey to the Center of Your Mind". In the 70's he went solo and had a string of hits including "Stranglehold", "Free For All", "Dog Eat Dog", "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang" and perhaps his best known song "Cat Scratch Fever".

In the 80's he even tried his hand at acting in a haunting episode of television's "Miami Vice". In 1989, he joined Tommy Shaw of Styx, Jack Blades of Night Ranger, and Michael Cartellone to form Damn Yankees, which produced 1990's chart toppers "Come Again" for Billboard's #1 and rock ballad "High Enough", backed by a string section in the studio and a popular video, reaching #3 on U.S. Hot 100, and #2 on AOR charts. More recently he has gained fame (and notoriety) for his support of hunting and his conservative political views. He is an important member of the NRA (National Rifle Association). He's written four books and released multiple studio albums.

Besides a regular reality type show on cable showcasing Ted's outdoorsman skills, his most recent foray in music was a reality television show SuperGroup that resulted in a band called Damnocracy. The band's other members were Sebastian Bach (formerly of Skid Row), Scott Ian (Anthrax) Jason Bonham ("Bonham", son of Zeppelin's John Bonham) and Evan Seinfeld (Biohazard).

Ted's latest album is titled Love Grenade and was released in 2008.
