Spit on a Stranger Lyrics

However you feel, whatever it takes
Whenever it's real, whatever awaits
Whatever you need, however so slight
Whenever it's real, whenever it's rightI'll be thinking long and hard
About the things you said to me
Like a bitter stranger
Now I see the long and short
the middle and what's in betweenI could spit on a stranger
You're a bitter strangerWhatever you feel, whatever it takes
Whenver it's real, whatever awaits me
Whatever you need, however so slight
Wherever it leads, whenever it's rightHoney, you're a prize and you're a catch
And we're a perfect match
Like two bitter strangers
And now I see the long and short of it
And I could make it lastI could spit on a stranger
You're a bitter stranger
Well, I could spit on a stranger

You're a bitter strangerI see the sunshine in your eyes
I'll try the things you'll never try
I'll be the one that leaves you high

Pavement are an American indie rock band that formed in Stockton, California in 1989. For most of the period to 1999, the band consisted of Stephen Malkmus (vocals, guitar), Scott "Spiral Stairs" Kannberg (guitar, vocals), Mark Ibold (bass), Steve West (drums) and Bob Nastanovich (percussion, vocals). During that period, and since, they have frequently been described as one of the most influential bands to emerge from the American underground of the '90s. While their split in 1999 was reportedly rather acrimonious, they undertook a well-received reunion tour during 2010.
