Spring Chicken Lyrics

One mother hen sat on 4 little eggs, Keeping them warm in her little egg nest, Then one day she heard a crack And a little voice said, as the egg was hatched;
Im aspring chicken! Im yellow and small. My feathers are fluffy and theyre keeping me warm. My legs are not long, so Ill never be tall,
But Im a real spring chicken and Im having a ball! (Chicken Im a chicken, Im a havin a ball!)
One mother hen sat on 3 little eggs, Keeping them warm in her little egg nest. Then one day she fell asleep And a little voice said in a whispered tweet:
Im aspring chicken! Im yellow and small. My feathers are fluffy and theyre keeping me warm. My legs are not long, so Ill never be tall,
But Im a real spring chicken and Im having a ball! (Chicken Im a chicken, Im a havin a ball!)
One mother hen sat on 2 little eggs, Keeping them warm in her little egg nest. Then one day she moved about And a little voice said, as a chick popped out:
Im aspring chicken! Im yellow and small. My feathers are fluffy and theyre keeping me warm. My legs are not long, so Ill never be tall,
But Im a real spring chicken and Im having a ball! (Chicken Im a chicken, Im a havin a ball!)
One mother hen sat on 1 little egg, Keeping it warm in her little egg nest. Then one day she gave a sigh And a little voice said SURPRISE! SURPRISE!!
Im aspring chicken! Im yellow and small. My feathers are fluffy and theyre keeping me warm. My legs are not long, so Ill never be tall,
But Im a real spring chicken and Im having a ball! (Chicken Im a chicken, Im a havin a ball!)

The currently popular Brakes are a 4-piece band from Brighton, United Kingdom fronted by Eamon Hamilton, formerly of British Sea Power. They formed in 2002. Brakes (known as ‘Brakesbrakesbrakes’ on their US releases) were formed when Tom White (guitar) and Alex White (drums) of The Electric Soft Parade saw Eamon Hamilton (vocals...
