Spy In the House of Love Lyrics

Spy, baby
Spy, baby
There was a time, you had it made
Everything was going your way
So many guys hanging on a string
You just wanted to play
Like a spy in the House of Love
Searching for a clue in the dark
Spy in the House of Love
Someone put a spell on your heart
Spy in the House of Love
Searching for a clue in the dark
Spy in the House of Love
Someone's got a hold on your heart
Spy, baby, in the House of Love
Spy, baby, in the House of Love, yeah
Out on the street, you were the queen
Playing games with jokers and fools

Then out of the night there comes the king
Now he's changing the rules, yeah
Like a spy in the House of Love
Searching for a clue in the dark
Spy in the House of Love
Someone put a spell on your heart
Spy in the House of Love
Searching for a clue in the dark
Spy in the House of Love
Someone's got a hold on your heart
Spy, baby, in the House of Love
Spy, baby, in the House of Love
Spy in the House of Love
Searching for a clue in the dark
Spy in the House of Love
Suspecting's gonna drag you apart
Spy in the House of Love
Searching for a clue in the dark
Spy in the House of Love
Someone's got a hold on your heart
Spy in the House of Love, of Love
Spy in the House of Love, House of Love
Spy in the House of Love
Spy in the House of Love, House of Love
Spy in the House of Love
Spy in the House of Love

Was (Not Was) is an eccentric pop group founded by David Weiss (a.k.a. David Was) and Don Fagenson (a.k.a. Don Was). (Don Was is also a famous producer, who has worked with The B-52's, Rolling Stones and many other artists.) Weiss and Fagenson were childhood friends who grew up together in suburban Detroit. Due largely to Fagenson's poverty, they decided to form Was (Not Was) in 1979. The name of the band was derived from Fagenson's son, who enjoyed contradicting words such as 'Blue' with 'Not Blue'.
