Stand Beside Me Lyrics

Stand beside me, stand beside me
You're the only one who ever made me care
I can't stand to think that I might be alone
Not alone again, not the way it was back thenBefore you walked into my heart
And told me we would never part
So stand beside be
Don't never let me be alone againStand beside me, stand beside me
For if I should lose you I just couldn't get anywhere
Stand beside me, stand beside me
You're the only one who ever made me careThere'll be times when everything goes wrong
But darling, I won't care if I know you're standing there
No matter what we have to do together
We can see it through

He was born Jimmy Ray Dean (not Seth Ward, as is sometimes stated - Seth Ward is the district of Plainview, Texas where he grew up). He became the host of the popular Washington D.C. TV program Town and Country Time and, with his Texas Wildcats, became regional favorites.
