Stars in Your Eyes Lyrics

Looking at your sitting there
Yah mind a million miles away
Might as well be talking to the walls
Maybe they'll hear what i've got to say
It's the same old story
About somebody with a dream
Looking for the glory
No matter how far the future seems
(You've stars)
You've stars in your eyes
(in your eyes)
there's a whole world out there for you
(You've got stars)
you've got stars in your eyes
(in your eyes)
what you gonna do?
you've got stars in your eyes
there's a whole world out there for you

yeah baby
(Instrumental)
So much inside you can't hold it all in
You've got to express your feelings
Maybe one day the whole world will know
Put a sail on your dreams and go sailing
It's the same old story
about somebody with a dream
looking for the glory
no matter how far the future seems
(You've stars)
You've stars in your eyes
(in your eyes)
there's a whole world out there for you
(You've got stars)
you've got stars in your eyes
(in your eyes)
Lord what you gonna do what are you gonna do?
You've got stars in your eyes
there's a whole world out there for you
Oooooooh yayhhhhhh
(instrumental)
Stars
ohhhh
can't you see yeah
that you're so much apart of me
I could never ever
leave you round
with my arms wide open
i wanna i wanna i wanna make you strong
baby
I'll give you all I've got to give
if you just open up your heart
and live
Chorus
(You've stars)
You've stars in your eyes
(in your eyes)
there's a whole world out there for you
(You've got stars)
you've got stars in your eyes
(in your eyes)
what you gonna do?
(You've stars)
You've stars in your eyes
(in your eyes)
And the whole world's waiting for you
(stars)
love
(In your eyes)
stars in your eyes
(stars)
stars, at night
(in your eyes)
stars in your eyes
(stars)

Herbert Jeffrey Hancock (born April 12, 1940) is a jazz pianist and composer from Chicago, Illinois, United States. Hancock is one of jazz music's most important and influential pianists and composers. He embraced elements of rock, funk, and soul while adopting freer stylistic elements from jazz. As part of Miles Davis' "second great quintet" Hancock helped redefine the role of a jazz rhythm section, and was later one of the first jazz musicians to embrace synthesizers and jazz funk.
