Starship Lyrics

Starship, starship take me
Take me where I wanna go
Out there among the planets
Let a billion suns cast my shadowStarship, starship take me
Stretch your legs in time and space
[Incomprehensible] a passage through the vacuum
Let me feel the stars burnin' on my faceTen for the gravity, checkpoint
Nine for polarity, checkpoint
Eight for the [Incomprehensible]
Seven for the prismatic time warpSix for the spirit of the captain, captain
Five for the power of the nucleus nebula
Four for the eyes, ears, nose, think, feel, speakThree for the many levels
Two for the chromosome
One for the energy
One for the energyOne check, one check
One check, one check
One check, one checkLeaving the solar system
Leaving the solar system

Leaving the solar system
Leaving the solar systemLeaving, leaving
Leaving, leaving
LeavingIt's cold in sun fire glory
From this point, I rise to infinityThere is a land whose beauty is almost
Unimaginable to the human mind
In a daze we stand there and look further
Than the ordinary eye can seeChildren, far above the roof of this world
We can encompass vistas of the worlds
There is a land where the sun shines eternally
Eternally, eternallyOut in outer space
A living, blazing fire, so vital and alive
That it burns our eyes to witness it's splendor

MC5

The MC5 (Motor City Five) is an American hard rock band formed in Lincoln Park, Michigan in 1964 and was active until 1972. They then reformed in 2003 and occasionally perform live. Their music also includes blues-rock, psychedelic rock, rock and roll and garage rock. "Crystallizing the counterculture movement at its most volatile and threatening," their far left political ties and anti-establishment lyrics and music would serve as a prototype for later punk rock and heavy metal musicians.
