Start Again (Live 1987) Lyrics

Woke up sad
When am I ever gonna learn
It's in my head
But I can't say the wordsI had it in my hands
Lost my nerve
I gave it and I got it
In returnOne day
I'll come around
Wonder when
I'll turn around
And start againMy fingerprints
Have left their traces
On all the things
The people and the placesI ever felt
And felt a part of
I touched the life
And kissed the heart ofOne day
I'll come around

Wonder when
I'll turn around
And start again
Start againNothing dies
Nothing ever diesWoke up sad
When am I ever gonna learn
It's in my head
Time to take my turnI had it in my hands
Lost my nerve
Gave it and I got it
In returnAnd one day
I'll come around
Wonder when
I'll turn around
And start againI'll come around
And start again
Start again
Wonder when
Wonder when
Wonder when

Echo & the Bunnymen are a British post-punk band formed in Liverpool in 1978. The original line-up consisted of Ian McCulloch (of The Crucial Three), Will Sergeant and Les Pattinson. There are many stories, probably apocryphal, that the quartet was completed by a drum machine known as "Echo". By the time of their debut album, 1980's Crocodiles - a moderate UK hit - the drum machine had been replaced by Pete de Freitas.
