Start Now Lyrics

Another lesson has been learned,
In this days' modern times,
Strangers in the mist appear,
Now there's war, all the time,
Systematically go and destroy,
Commit another atrocity,
Aggressors are in their places,
Man-made catastrophe.I'm not looking for a fight now,
And I don't care who's wrong or right now,
So release the dove into flight now,
So we can start right now,
We can start right now.A small key's gonna open the door,
Across the border to a new land,
And in the new land a sand storm roars,
Under spell and the ghost of a man,
A pack of men, they're yours to stay,
Their prayers fall upon deaf ears,
Machiavelli owns a machine gun now,

And I see it in the mask and a puppeteer.I'm not looking for a fight now,
And I don't care who's wrong or right now,
So release the dove into flight now,
So we can start right now,
We can start right now.Humanity has no blame in this case, this big game of chess for us all,
Hostility explodes in the mess, now your arm got blood all over the world,
And clear day turns to dark, blindfolding prisoners of war,
And solidarity, on the razor's edge, boy, what? You're a big puncher now, right?
Yeah?.... Ha!.... Nah.... I don't fucking think so!
Ha ha ha!I'm not looking for a fight now,
And I don't care who's wrong or right now,
So release the dove into flight now,
So we can start right now,

Rancid is a punk rock band which formed in Berkeley, California, United States in 1991. The band consists of Tim "Lint" Armstrong (vocals, guitar), Lars Frederiksen (guitar), Matt Freeman (bass) and Brendan Stieneckert (drums). The band has released seven albums: "Rancid" (1993), "Let's Go" (1994), "...And Out Come the Wolves" (1995), "Life Won't Wait" (1998), "Rancid" (2000), "Indestructible" (2003) and "Let the Dominoes Fall" (2009). The band originally consisted of Armstrong, Freeman (both former members of Operation Ivy) and drummer Brett Reed, with Frederiksen joining in 1993. Reed left in 2006 and was replaced by Stieneckert.

To date, Rancid has released seven studio albums, one split album, one compilation, two extended plays, and a series of live online-only albums, and has been featured on a number of compilation albums. The band has independently sold over four million records worldwide,[4] making it one of the most successful independent punk groups of all time. The band rose to fame in 1994 with its second studio album, Let's Go, featuring the single "Salvation". In the following year, Rancid released its highly successful album ...And Out Come the Wolves, which produced its best-known songs "Roots Radicals", "Ruby Soho" and "Time Bomb", and was certified gold and platinum by the RIAA, selling over one million copies in the United States alone. Its next four albums, Life Won't Wait, Rancid, Indestructible and Let the Dominoes Fall, were also critically acclaimed, though not as successful as ...And Out Come the Wolves. Rancid is currently working on an eighth studio album, which is said to be recorded in September 2011, and expected to be released in 2012.
