Steady Now Lyrics

Theres an air everywhere
Of inconsideration and despair
I dont consider you and you dont consider me
And its well understood that we dont careYou know we dont have to wait until the end of the night
Just to say that somethings wrong and maybe nobodys right
Were all victims in a battle we never had to fight
Its okay, its alright, steady now
Were in this thing together, were in this togetherI regret that I forget
Confessions always seem to stay unsaid
And maybe I worry that youll forsake me
Use my shame as a weapon and go on and break meYou know we dont have to wait until the end of the night
Just to say that somethings wrong and maybe nobodys right
Were all victims in a battle that we never had to fight
Its okay, its alright, steady now
Were in this togetherCause I want to take the time to say Im sorry
I havent loved you the way I should
Do you think that you could forgive me?
Just try to hear me, I, I need you with me nowYou know we dont have to wait until the end of the night

Just to say that somethings wrong and maybe nobodys right
Were all victims in a battle we never had to fight
Its okay, its alrightYou know we dont have to wait until the end of the night
Just to say that somethings wrong and maybe nobodys right
Were all victims in a battle we never had to fight
Its okay, its alright, steady now
Were in this together, steady now

In March 2003, while on tour, Jason Molina announced that he would rename his band (Songs: Ohia) Magnolia Electric Co. This new incarnation would retain many of the original players and the stylistic direction of the album of the same name. Jason Molina would also continue to release solo work, but this time under his own name. The first such release came in January of 2004, as the full length vinyl release Pyramid Electric Co. While Magnolia Electric Co. and Pyramid Electric Co. were originally intended as a double album, the latter seems to be the stylistic polar opposite of the former.
