Stone Free Lyrics

Everyday in the week I'm in a different city
In my stay too long people try to pull me down
They talk about me like a dog, talkin' about the clothes I wear
But they don't realize they're the ones who's squareHey, and that's why
You can't hold me down
I don't want to be down
I gotta move onStone free, do what I please
Stone free, to ride the breeze
Stone free, I can't stay
I got to, got to, got to get awayListen to this, baby
A woman here, a woman there try to keep me in a plastic cage
But they don't realize it's so easy to break
Oh, but sometimes I get hot, feel my heart kind a runnin' hot
That's when I got to move before I get caughtHey, and that's why, listen to me, baby
You can't hold me down
I don't want to be tied down
I gotta be freeI said, "Stone free, do what I please
Stone free, to ride the breeze

Stone free, I can't stay
Got to, got to, got to get away"
Yeah, tear me loose, babyI said, "Stone free, to ride on the breeze
Stone free, do what I please
Stone free, I can't stay
Stone free, I got to, I got to get away"Stone free
(I'm gonna leave her right now)
Stone free
(Don't try to hold me back)
Stone free
(I'm goin' on down the highway)
Stone freeStone free
Move it on, bye, bye baby
Stone free

James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix (born Johnny Allen Hendrix; 27th November at Seattle's King County Hospital, 1942 - 18th September 1970) was a U.S. guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Hendrix was not very popular in the U.S.A. at the outset of his musical career, only later gaining recognition after taking a trip to England in 1966 with The Animals' Chas Chandler, where he subsequently formed The Jimi Hendrix Experience with bassist Noel Redding and drummer Mitch Mitchell. While The Experience quickly became popular in England, they remained relatively unrecognised outside the country.
