Storm Warning Lyrics

Storm warning, feels like a heavy rain
Winds on the coast tonight
We may get tossed tonightStorm warning, he's made it pretty plain
He's fallin' for another, found a new lover
And he won't be back againCan't stop a river, when it's burst it's banks
I've seen the look in his eyes
He's in love and hypnotizedTime of mourning
There's already been a flood of my tears
Such a sense of loss tonight
Nought to do but ride it outCan't stop a river when it's burst it's banks
I wonder how long it's gonna take
To get over this heartbreakStorm warning, feels like a heavy rain
Winds on the coast tonight
We may get tossed tonightStorm warning

Bonnie Raitt, (born November 8, 1949) is an American blues and R&B singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was born in Burbank, California, the daughter of Broadway musical star John Raitt. Raitt began playing guitar at an early age, something not a lot of her high school girlfriends did. "I had played a little at school and at camp," she later recalled in a July 2002 interview. "My parents would drag me out to perform for my family, like all parents do, but it was a hobby—nothing more...I think people must wonder how a white girl like me became a blues guitarist.
