Storybook Hero Lyrics

If I could I would buy you a ring for your finger
made of diamonds and gold,
But I will give to you this guarantee, I'm gon'
make you some money you can fold,
make you some money you can foldSmooth talking play boys, they try get your number,
but I wanna show you how good a man can be,
I long to deliver your every heart's desire, darling
you're my destiny,
darling you're my destinyOne day I'll take you on a' ocean liner,
wine and dine you in France,
but right now I'm satisfied poor boys and beer,
'long as I can watch you dance,
right here, Tipitina's, I love to watch you danceI wish that I could buy you a fine new home
drive you round in a fancy car,
but when you're tired, babe, I'll carry you up the road on my back,
no distance would be too far,
darling no distance would be too far'Cause you make me feel like a storybook hero,
Daniel's courage and Sampson's might

Like a storybook hero, that's how I feel,
when you hold me tightI'm your hero, like Robin Hood, Hercules,
John Henry, like Tarzan, baby I'm you're man
