Sugar and Spice (I Found Me a Girl) Lyrics

Sugar and spice
Righter than right
Never had a feeling so nice, no, girl
I wanna tell the world
I found me a girlSweeter than sweet
That's how I feel
Never had a feeling so real, no, girl
I wanna tell the world
I found me a girlI told my baby that I had to get away
And that I'd be back another day
She didn't even ask me where I had to go
She said she didn't need to know, ooh, oohJust said she'd miss me every minute of the time
She wrote me that on a valentine
That's how I know that I can't stay away too long
'Cause I'm gonna get myself back home to mySugar and spice
(We've got a) righter than right (love affair)
Said yeah, yeah
Never had a feeling so nice, no, girl

I wanna tell the world
I found me a girlSweeter than sweet (ooh, sugar)
That's how I feel (every day), say hey, hey, hey
Never had a feeling so real, no, girl
I wanna tell the world
I found me a girl, me a girlI can't think of anything that I would ever miss
More than her sweet and tender kiss
She's got something that I just can't seem to resist
And that's why I've got to tell you this, listen hereI've heard some talk there's gonna be a hurricane
Big heavy winds and lots of rain, it's gonna carry on
And that's why I'm hopin' that it's not gon' take too long
'Cause I'm gonna ride that wind back home to mySugar and spice
(We've got a) righter than right (love affair)
I say yeah, yeah
Never had a feeling so nice, no, girl
I wanna tell the world
I found me a girlSweeter than sweet (ooh, sugar)
That's how I feel (every day), say hey, hey, hey
Never had a feeling so real, no, girl
I wanna tell the world
I found me a girl, me a girlI never knew I could feel like I do
I'm in Heaven, you see
If you need me you know where I'm gonna be
Look out!And everyday I thank my lucky stars
And all Heaven above
I'm at last and forever in love
She's my girlShe's mine all mine
(Gotta tell the world I found a girl)
I gotta take my time
(I found a girl)And let everybody know
(Gotta tell the world I found a girl)
I mean tell the world
I found me a girlSaid she's mine all mine
(Gotta tell the world I found a girl)
I gotta take my time
(I found a girl)And let everybody know
(Gotta tell the world I found a girl)
I mean tell the world
I found me a girlSugar and spice
(We've got a) righter than right (love affair)
Said yeah, yeah
Never had a feeling so nice, no, girl
I wanna tell the world
I found me a girlSweeter than sweet (ooh, sugar)
That's how I feel

Luther Ronzoni Vandross (April 20, 1951 - July 1, 2005) was an american soul and rnb singer whose career spanned four decades.

In the 70s, he worked as a backing singer Chic and for David Bowie (on the Young Americans album). He later found success as a solo artist with Superstar and A House Is Not A Home.

In the 80s, Vandross was a vocalist on early Change singles (Searching), whilst continuing his solo career with such releases as "Never Too Much", "Power Of Love/Love Power", "If Only For One Night", "Here And Now".

In the 90s, he was more famous for duets with Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey (amongst others), than for his solo work.

It was an ongoing battle with his weight that may have ultimately proved his undoing. He suffered a stroke in 2003, from which he never really recovered, and died in 2005.

During his career, he sold 25 million albums and won eight Grammy awards including Best Male R&B Vocal Performance four times. He won four Grammy awards in 2004, including the Grammy Award for Song of the Year for the track "Dance With My Father," co-written with Richard Marx.
