Summer Nights Lyrics

Winter's almost gone
Oh, how I've waited so long
For summer nightsWhen there's magic in the air
And I don't have a care
All that matters to me
Is that you are here
On summer nightsThere's a little cafe
Where we can hear music play
They keep the lights turned down low
It's a place where lovers goThere you'll hold me tight and say
Our love will always be this way
On summer nightsAt the end of the day
We can go down to the bay
And together hand in hand
We will walk along the sand
On summer nightsIn our little cafe
We'll dance the night away
And we know our love will be

Always true eternallyAnd when the moon begins to shine
I can see that you are mine
On summer nightsOn summer nights
On summer nights

Marianne Faithfull (born 29 December 1946 in London) is an English singer-songwriter and actress whose career spans more than four decades. Her early work in pop and rock music in the 1960s was overshadowed by her struggle with drug abuse in the 1970s. After a long commercial absence, she returned late in 1979 with the highly acclaimed album, Broken English. Faithfull's subsequent solo work, often critically-acclaimed, has at times been rather overshadowed by her personal history. From 1966 to 1970, she had a highly-publicised romantic relationship with Rolling Stones' lead singer Mick Jagger.
