The Answer Team was formed by drummer Brandon Bone and guitarist Tom McCauley in Omaha, Nebraska, in 2006. A short time later, they were joined by guitarist Jason Bejot. In the early years, the band endured multiple line-up changes and experimentation with vocals which the band decided "just didn't work" only moments before recording their debut EP, Dead Letter Office, in 2008. Self-released in late 2008, Dead Letter Office was initially only available as a download. It had been so well received, being called "The Best of Myspace" by rocksellout.
