Sunday Train Lyrics

You can place your faith in God my friend
But no one knows His plan
You can place your faith in your brother
But he may fail youSo, I am waiting for that Sunday train
Place my faith in southern line
She may not be on time
But she will comeShe once was a proud one
Stretched from sea to shinning sea
She may not take you everywhere
You want to go where you need to be she'll agreeSo, rest you'll weary legs
They carried you all this way
And climb aboard that Sunday train
When she comesWhen God banished Lilith from the garden
He gave us Eve, gave us steam
So, trains climb up every mountain
But never have they or set me freeSo, if your heart is weary
And soul your soul is like mine
Climb aboard that Sunday train

When she comesSunday Train
Sunday Train
Sunday Train

Cracker is an American alternative rock band fronted by Camper Van Beethoven singer David Lowery, with guitarist Johnny Hickman. They are best known for their hit songs "Low" and "Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now)". The band's website once noted Cracker as "The only band to ever open for both Grateful Dead and Ramones," a unique distinction which is also indicative of the band's sound and style. Cracker comfortably mixes influences and sounds ranging from classic country music, psychedelia, punk and folk into their brand of "americana" style rock.
