Sunset Lyrics

Sand separates the sea from me on my desert island
Sun obliterates the sky and I, I'm just like anyone
No matter how I try, I wanna see the sunAnd it shines to luminate the distance
Illustrate the difference between you and me
And it collides with clouds that set the sky free
Indicating right, indicating wrong
I'm just like anyone, I wanna see the sunMoon, through many stages move
And light love like a silent L.D.
Swoon and every single kiss
You ever lit like this is gonna feel like bliss
So just reflect the sun and guide everyoneAnd it shines to luminate the distance
Illustrate the difference between you and me
And it collides with clouds that set the sky free
Indicating right, indicating wrong
So just reflect the sun and guide everyoneA cable car above the bay, below the stars saying
"Are you okay?" to the one you love
It sings like a song as it strings you along
You suspend your belief, there's no need

Baby, I've gone there, stars shone thereAnd they shine to luminate the distance
Illustrate the difference between you and me
See them collide with clouds that set the sky free
Indicating right, indicating wrongAnd just like anyone, I wanna see the sun
I wanna see the moon, I wanna see the stars
I wanna see them shine

Aztec Camera was a Scottish indie pop/new wave band from Glasgow. The line-up of the band changed several times over the years, but the constant member had been guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Roddy Frame. Founding members included Campbell Owens (bass) and Dave Mulholland (drums). Ex-Bluebells bassist Craig Gannon was a member from 1983 through 1985, before joining The Smiths. Guitarist Malcolm Ross (formerly of Josef K and Orange Juice) also joined in 1983, and appeared on the Knife album.
