Superman Lyrics

Excuse my lack of patience
But today I'm feeling faceless
I don't know I don't know I don't know can I go on
My mind says I'm a wasting
My life ain't keeping pace
I don't know I don't know I don't know can I go onI need a miracle
I need a sign
I need a hero to lift away
I need a miracle
But not for longI am on my own
My own hero
I will stay strong
I'm on my own
No undertow
Could bring me downI feel like Superman
I feel like SupermanMy laugh is understated
'Cause I don't think I can fake it
I don't know I don't know I don't know can I go on

Been locked inside this cage
And I don't think I can break it
I don't know I don't know I don't know can I go onI need a miracle but not for longI am on my own
My own hero
I will stay strong
I am on my own
My own hero
I'm not alone
I'm on my own
No undertow
Could bring me downI feel like Superman
I feel like SupermanI am on my own
My own hero
Will stay strong
I'm making waves oh I'm making waves
In my heart again I'm making wavesI'm making waves oh I'm making waves
In my heart again I'm making wavesI draw a line at what the people say
I'm making waves I'm making waves
I feel like Superman
I feel like Superman(I am on my own my own hero) yeah I'm on my own
(I'm not alone) I don't know I don't know I don't know where to go
(I am on my own, no undertow) yeah I'm on my own
(I'm not alone)
(I am on my own)
(My own hero)
(I'm not alone)
(I am on my own, no undertow) I feel I feel I feel it in my bones
(I'm not alone) I feel I feel I feel it in my soul
I feel, I feel, I feel like SupermanI need a miracle

Zachary Barnett (vocals), James Adam Shelley (guitar/banjo), Matt Sanchez (drums), and Dave Rublin (bass) started the band "American Authors" Boston, Massachusetts in 2012, but soon moved to Brooklyn, New York. As their band name suggests, this quartet writes stories through their music to share their struggles, high and lows, and changes. Soon after forming, American Authors caught the attention of Island Records, which signed the band to a record deal.
