Superstarr, Part Zero Lyrics

Yo the year is 2002
It's the end of the jiggy era
People on the planet Earth are tired
In an effort to aid a great shipment millions of bodies incarnate
(Get up!)
To rock mic'sComplex, this hip hop alchemy
When I was a kid I watched Electric Company
Now I'm all grown living life to the bone
New tone, spaceship take me homeBack to the seventh sun the seventh one
When I drop patience, Kevin's Dun
This eloquent macula is black enough
To bring a shake to DraculaUh, I'm hitting them with synonym adrenaline
Then I send them to the kingdom of the heavens
A matter of time before this rhyme
Infiltrates the bloodstream into the mindOf a man living a life in Babylonia
So lonely she went to California
Frisco, hypno's, get clothes
Crystals, take it back to the raw rapYou, you blind baby

You're blind from the fact, oh yeah
'Cause you're watching that garbage!Ooh, I love this girl
She's a superstar
You can change the world
You're a superstarOoh, I love this girl
She's a superstar
You can change the world
You're a superstarOkay, here we go
First twoYo, I got a lyrical shot aimed at the T. Dot
Telling me that you are when you know that you're not
Uptown, chilling at the corner store
Thinking, "Why the hell do I front, I'm hardcore"Like Castro, master flows pass the golden links
Whatever you think it's all old, you get it?
Whatever the cost I will not floss
Emcees act the boss they all get tossedOff the plank
Hold the dank I don't burn
I got a lot to say but really lots to learn
Turn, baby you're just not concerned
Whatever earned, thinking of the most high earnedI flip with this some hit, some miss
Don't get fooled by lyrical ventriloquist the twist
Most flee, I'm Kris Nagy
Come back to flip rap
Do it to crowd make 'em clapSuperstar, superstar, superstarOoh, I love this girl
She's a superstar
You can't change the world
You're a superstarOoh, I love this girl
She's a superstar
You can't change the world
You're a superstarGet up! Get up! Come on!

k-os (born Kevin Brereton on February 20, 1972 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer of Trinidadian descent. His real name may also be cited as Kheaven, a spelling he adopted later.

The alias "k-os" is pronounced "chaos" and is an acronym for "Knowledge of Self," although in a later interview he also said that it stands for "Kheaven's Original Sound." His music incorporates a wide variety of music genres including but not limited to rap, funk, rock, and reggae. The lyrics frequently focus on promoting a "positive message" while at times expressing criticism of mainstream hip hop culture's obsession with money, fame and glorification of violence. A musician as well as a producer, k-os has written and produced a large portion of all four of his albums. k-os usually performs with a live band, something that is uncommon in the hip hop genre. He sometimes plays guitar and keyboard both during live performances and in the studio.

k-os received his first musical exposure with the single "Musical Essence," released in 1993. After the release of his second single "Rise Like The Sun" in 1996 he withdrew from the industry because he was dissatisfied with his musical style. He reappeared briefly in 1999 and released his debut album Exit in 2002. The album received positive reviews but sold relatively few copies. He released his second album Joyful Rebellion in 2004, which received platinum status in Canada. Joyful Rebellion received positive reviews, but at times was criticized for speaking extensively on the state of hip hop. k-os's third album, Atlantis: Hymns for Disco, was released in 2006, and his fourth album entitled Yes! was released in April of 2009.
