Survivor Lyrics

So innocent at first, a blessing or a curse
I did my very best.
And I, as the seasons pass, try to make it last
And I watched them fall awayBut a man can't be measured by the number of times he is knocked down
It's all about what he does when he gets back up again
I'm a survivor. What'd you go and change your mind for?
You're the one I'd die for, take me as I am!
Don't just ignore me; no need to feel sorry for me.
I don't need your pity. Treat me like a man!
I'm not a shadow of who I used to be... It's just me.And I have nowhere else to turn
I thought I had to learn a new way to your heart
And oh, I tried everything I could
I fought hard for where I stood
But it sure tore me apart, ohBut a man can't be measured by the number of times he is knocked down
It's all about what he does when he gets back up again
I'm a survivor. What'd you go and change your mind for?
You're the one I'd die for, take me as I am!
Don't just ignore me; no need to feel sorry for me.

I don't need your pity. Treat me like a man!
I'm not a shadow of who I used to be... It's just me.Oh
I have been fighting for so long
Whether it's been right or wrong, it's become a way of life
And now, after all the pain and tears, standing strong through the years
What am I to do?I'm a survivor. What'd you go and change your mind for?
You're the one I'd die for, take me as I am!I'm a survivor. What'd you go and change your mind for?
You're the one I'd die for, take me as I am!
Don't just ignore me; no need to feel sorry for me.
I don't need your pity. Treat me like a man!
I'm not a shadow of who I used to be... It's just me.
