Sweet Flower Lyrics

What have I done I took a gun and shot a man dead
I know it's cold but you don't know what that man did
he stole the sun and one by one I saw my flowers die
and so I drove up to his road
breathing all fireball and explosions
if I catch this brother dozing, I know it's wrong
but just supposing it
in your garden there's just one rose in it
nectar so sweet you'd dip your toes in it
until one morning you find they've stolen it
they took your sweet flower, with petals so thin
that never hurt no-one and they won't again, not again
oh woe is me what do I see what have I become
many a dream of men in green but never seen one
I never knew what I would do if I'm pushed too far
and now I know, I've made it so
deep in these five walls all alone
I've realised she'll never know the name of this song

or who's composing it
life on freeze as if they've frozen it
far from me to rub your nose in it
if they ask you why you've chosen it tell them
they took your sweet flower with petals so thin
that never hurt no-one and they won't again
not again
