Sweet Sympathy Lyrics

Sweet sympathy (A)
CHORUS
Sweet sympathy that's what I need,
and just a little bit of lovin'.
Sweet sympathy that's what I need.
Sweet sympathy that's what I need,
and just a little bit of lovin'.
Sweet sympathy that's what I need.
VERSE 1
Strife and trouble may not double
the length of your life.
But perfect piece will bring you to your knees
you gonna need a little trouble and strife.
VERSE 2

Driving down the highway seeing things my way
honest a Ford, (hey)
the road's gettin' crazy so I'm taking it easy
I am [ or I ain't] driving to the arms of My Lord.
CHORUS
Sweet sympathy that's what I need,
and just a long stretch of dry road
Sweet sympathy that's what I need.
Sweet sympathy that's what I need,
and just a long stretch of dry road
Sweet sympathy that's what I need.
- SOLO-
VERSE 3
Now I'm no Jeremia but if you get much higher
You'll fly right out of sight.
Keep in touch with the ground, there's no rockin' around
you better get your priorities right.
VERSE 4
The way I construe it that must be how you do it
that does decide(s) in the end
On the day you can make and you know you can't fake it
and you surely gonna need your best friend.
And all that
CHORUS
Sweet sympathy that's what I need,
and all the strength in my right arm
Sweet sympathy that's what I need.
Sweet sympathy that's what I need,
and all the strength in my right arm
Sweet sympathy that's what I need.
Sweet sympathy that's what I need,
and just a little bit of lovin'
Sweet sympathy That's what I need.
(rep. till the end)

Alexis Korner (born Alexis Andrew Nicholas Koerner, 19 April 1928 in Paris, France - died 1 January 1984 in Westminster, Central London), was an English blues musician, born to an Austrian father and Greek mother.[1] Korner is probably best remembered as a networker and blues historian, although he was a proficient guitarist and a distinctive (if not accomplished) vocalist. Often referred to as "the Father of British Blues", Korner was instrumental in bringing together various English blues musicians.
