Sweeter Than Anything Lyrics

In photographs
I've seen him laugh
Man overboard
Sun on his backSummer was here
I remember it well
How he stood in the shade
How we both kissed and fellHow can this be?
There's nothing left here
How can this be?
There's nothing left hereSo sad our
So sad our
So sad our
So sad our
Our memoryNow he talks in his sleep
Says I've never known peace
And I don't know him now
He's a stranger to meHow can this be?
There's nothing left here

How can this be?
There's nothing left hereWe were
Never more than a dream
Brief as
Summer or spring
Sweeter than anything

Polly Jean Harvey, born October 9, 1969 in Yeovil, United Kingdom and raised in nearby Corscombe (Dorset), is an English singer-songwriter. She has recorded as a solo artist under the name PJ Harvey, but she began her career as part of a trio (with drummer Rob Ellis and bassist Steve Vaughan), also named PJ Harvey, in 1991. Early material released by the trio on Dry, 4 Track Demos and Rid of Me was praised by critics for its raw, guitar-driven sound and sharp-witted, melancholic lyrics.
