Swimming Lyrics
When I first saw her
she was in the ocean;
her silver hair
was following the motion
of the water and the waves
and the wind that was blowing,
her body and breath
making waves of their own.
I said,
"Dohn-duh-dohn dohn,
duh-doh-du-doh-oh.
I'm going swimming too.
Dohn-duh-dohn-dohn,
duh-doh-du-doh-oh.
'Cause I want to swim with you."
The water was cold.
It was silver and gray.
And when I started to swim,
she started swimming away.
Then she gathered the waves up
and wrapped them around her.
I looked into the waves,
and that's where I found her.
I said,
"Dohn-duh-dohn down,
duh-doh-duh-doh-oh.
I'm coming swimming today."
I said,
"Dohn-duh-dohn down,
duh-doh-duh-doh-oh.
'Cause I wnat to swim with you."
Then she grabbed my hand
and pulled me under the water
and we plunged even further
with my arm 'round her shoulder
'til not even the curious
fish could have found us
hidden deep in the waves
with coral around us.
I said,
"Doh-n-duh-doh-doh,
duh-doh-n-doh-oh.
I'm glad I came swimming too.
I said,
"Dohn-duh-dohn dow,
duh-doh-duh-doh-oh.
'Cause I wanted to swim with you."
Then she said,
"Doh-n-duh-doh-n-doh,
doh-n-uh-doh. I'm
glad that you came swimming too."
