Swimming in Sand Lyrics

He said, "Take me to the sea
That is where I want to be"
He said, "Take me to the sea
And let my mother bury me"He was just an orphan child
Grew up in the Cayman Isles
He was just an orphan child
Who said he needed to rest awhileWell, now I'm swimmin' in sand
Sinkin' in Vaseline
Prayin' for land under my feet
It's under my feetHe sailed upon the ocean winds
Maritime he called his friends
He sailed upon the ocean winds
Until he needed the shore againHe said, "Take me to the sea
Well, that is where I want to be"
He said, "Take me to the sea
And let my mother bury me"Well now I'm swimmin' in sand
Sinkin' in Vaseline
Prayin' for land under my feet

It's under my feetSwimmin' in sand
Sinkin' in Vaseline
Prayin' for land under my feetNow I'm swimmin' in sand
Sinkin' in Vaseline
Prayin' for land under my feet
It's under my feet

Buck-O-Nine formed in a small warehouse in the early part of 1991. Based in San Diego, the band was on the horizon of a change in the music industry. At the time the catch phrase was “Grunge.” The band was eager to take a different path. With their backgrounds in punk/metal bands, reggae bands and 2nd wave ska bands, Buck-O-Nine had the formula for what was to become a new mutation of sounds. Inspired by the early founders of this new sound, Buck-O-Nine admired the works of Fishbone, Operation Ivy, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and the Voodoo Glow Skulls.
