TV & Me Lyrics

Gunned down in a fight
It was a bloody pleasure
Though I couldn't walk, I'm not dead
I smell the pavementAt the end there's a light
And so pretty women
Though I couldn't see
I'm not blind and inside my mindFright night on the radio
Starving junkies on the TV
I ain't got nothing against them, brother
I just sit and hang aroundWhile there's Conan Something
MTV's burning up from lack of fever
I ain't got nothing against them, brother
I just sit and hang around
Well, I just wish there was
Something more to this, TV & meLift off into space, it's all on discovery
I don't understand why it takes
So long for me to turn
So long for me to turn it offFright night on the radio

Starving junkies on the TV
I ain't got nothing against them, brother
I just sit and hang aroundWhile there's Conan Something
MTV's burning up from lack of fever
I ain't got nothing against them, brother
I just sit and hang around
Well, I just wish there was
Something more to this TV & me
TV & me, TV & me, TV & meWell, there's fright night on the radio
Starving junkies on the TV
I ain't got nothing against them, brother
I just sit and hang aroundWhile there's Conan Something
MTV's burning up from lack of mercy
I ain't got nothing against them, brother
I just sit and hang around, TV & me
TV & me, TV & me

Mando Diao are a rock band from Borlänge, Sweden. According to the band, the name Mando Diao has no meaning at all, but rather appeared to band member Björn Dixgård in a dream. Their sound is influenced by The Animals and Oasis. The roots of Mando Diao date back to 1995 when Björn Dixgård was a member of a band called Butler. Band members came and went; four years later, the remaining line-up chose to proceed more seriously in their musical efforts. Björn Dixgård and Gustaf Norén locked themselves up in a summer house and spent six months writing songs.
