Tailgate Lyrics

We bought to back it on up in the parkin' lot
Got the beer on ice and the grill is hot
On your mark, get set, baby, ready or not
We gonna get someWe got ribs and things, chicken and bake beans
Plates of Styrofoam, we came to get it on
Days like the dark, where ever you all park
Just get some 'cause everybody want someTailgate, if you came here to party
Well, baby don't worry if you can't wait, we bought to get started
So you better hurry up before it's too late
So come on hun, this is gonna be fun
Let the pickup run, sit your buns on my tailgateI seen a little hot tub that would fit bought ten
In the back of a jacked up Chevy '10
Built a bonfire thirty foot in the air
Bought 30 thousand folks screamin' hell, yeahWe got the easy ups and the lawn chairs down
Long legged girls walkin' around with them daisy dukes on and
Red lipstick sun tan lotion rubbin', I'm lovin' itTailgate, if you came here to party
Well, baby don't worry if you can't wait, we bought to get started
So you better hurry up before it's too late

So come on hun, this is gonna be fun
Let the pickup run, sit your buns on my tailgateGood Lord, this is how it was supposed to be
Rockin' tailgate party with friends and family
We got Jim, Jack, John and even Jose
All my roughty friends ready to playWe may get a little loud but we don't hurt no one
This is just our way of tryin' to have some fun
Rednecks thugs, geeks and bums
We got it goin' on, y'all always welcome toTailgate, if you came here to party
Well, baby don't worry if you can't wait, we bought to get started
So you better hurry up before it's too late
So come on hun, this is gonna be fun
Let the pickup run, sit your buns on my tailgate

Take Kid Rock, Hank Williams Jr and Toby Keith, mix with a little "Dirty South" rap influence, and what you get is Colt Ford, former golf pro-turned-country music's first legitimate rap star. His debut album, "Ride Through The Country", came out in 2008, featuring some of his friends and influences, from country stars Jamey Johnson and John Michael Montgomery to rapper Bonecrusher and RnB artist Attitude. "Chicken and Biscuits", featuring appearances by Josh Gracin, James Otto and Daryl "DMC" McDaniels came next in April 2010. A third album, featuring new single "Country Thang", was released in 2011. Mixing southern rock, country and rap together, his music is a testament to the up-til-now crazy notion that rap and country don't mix, won't mix, and can't mix. Colt is touring the United States on his sold-out "Declaration of Independence" tour while readying for the June 2012 release of his latest cd, "Declaration of Independence", which will feature performances alongside such musical heavyweights as Darius Rucker, Jason Aldean and Boys II Men.
