Take Care of Home Lyrics

Gotta take of home, you know what I'm sayin'
'Cause if you don't take care of home
Somebody else will, ya feel me?
Y'all know what I'm talkin' 'bout, check itIf she thinks you don't say it enough tell her you love her
Every time that your baby comes across your mind, heh, yeah, heh
And if you think your girl wants the world just give it to her
Be the sunshine that brightens up her life
Don't let her get away, noDon't let her get away
If you really care enough
Love her everyday
Over and over and overIf you take care of home
You don't have to worry 'bout your girl
Take care of home, take care of home
Maybe if you keep her first
You don't have to worry 'bout your girl
Take care of home, take care of homeHold her hand when you walk through the mall
'Cause you know she likes it
Do all the little things you used to do day and night

Make sure you live to keep her happy
Make her realize how beautiful she is, she's so beautiful
Don't let her, noDon't let her get away
If you really care enough
Love her everyday
Over and over and overIf you take care of home
You don't have to worry 'bout your girl
Take care of home, take care of home
Maybe if you keep her first
You don't have to worry 'bout your girl
Take care of home, take care of homeIf you take care of home
You don't have to worry 'bout your girl
Take care of home, take care of home
Maybe if you keep her first
You don't have to worry 'bout your girl
Take care of home, take care of homeListen to me, you got a queen
So take care of her in every way
And you're so lucky that she adores you
So worship the ground she walks onIf you take care of home
You don't have to worry 'bout your girl
Take care of home, take care of home
Maybe if you keep her first
You don't have to worry 'bout your girl
Take care of home, take care of homeIf you take care of home
You don't have to worry 'bout your girl
Take care of home, take care of home
Maybe if you keep her first
You don't have to worry 'bout your girl
Take care of home, take care of home

Dave Hollister, cousin of music act K-Ci and JoJo, started developing fame as a musician in the early 1990s. Some of his biggest early appearances were with 2Pac on tracks like "Brenda's Got A Baby."

His next big move was when he was signed to Teddy Riley's R&B group BLACKstreet in 1994. He worked with the group on their first album and then left the group to pursue his own solo career. He was signed to DreamWorks Records and began working on an album.

In 1999, Hollister released his first albumm, Ghetto Hymns. The album was successful, going gold, and creating one hit single, "My Favorite Girl." "My Favorite Girl" reached #10 on the R&B charts.

Hollister's follow-up album, Chicago '85... The Movie was released in 2000. The album was an autobiographical work and went gold. "One Woman Man" the album's biggest single, reached #8 on the R&B charts.

For his third effort, Hollister moved to Motown Records. He hoped the new label would instill new energy into his music. The album, Things In the Game Done Changed was released in 2002 and faired poorly on the charts and radio.

As a result of the album's shortcomings, Hollister returned to DreamWorks where he released Real Talk in 2003. Following the album's release, Hollister moved to Gospo Centric.

Hollister is reportedly wrapping up his fifth album in the industry, The Book of David: Vol. 1 The Transition. The album will be coming out on September 26, 2006 from Gospo Centric.
