Take It, Shake It, Break My Heart Lyrics

Beg me hard to love you and a moment of my weakness
Now you want my love you say it's time for leavin'
Take it, shake it, break my heart
Think it's almost time to get used to it
Take it, break it wide apart
You're not the first, you won't be the last
Funny but it's true, happens almost every time
Tell myself beware not to lose control next time
Just when I'm unguarded, some girl takes me by surprise
Steals my heart and leaves me, it's the story of my life
Take it, shake it, break my heart
Think it's almost time to get used to it
Take it, break it wide apart
You're not the first, you won't be the last
Woo-ooh
Take it, shake it, break my heart
Think it's almost time to get used to it
Take it, break it wide apart

You're not the first, you won't be the last
Take it, shake it, break my heart
Think it's almost time to get used to it
Take it, break it wide apart
You're not the first, you won't be the last
Take it, shake it, break my heart
Think it's almost time to get used to it
Take it, break it wide apart
You're not the first, you won't be the last

Vanity Fare were a British pop/rock group formed in 1966, best remembered for their million-selling song, "Hitchin' a Ride", which became a worldwide hit in 1970, and "Early In The Morning". School friends Trevor Brice (vocals), Tony Goulden (guitar), Dick Allix (drums), and Tony Jarrett (bass) formed the band in Kent in 1966, originally calling themselves The Avengers. They played local clubs and were spotted by entrepreneur Roger Easterby who became their manager and producer.
