Take Me Away Lyrics

The day you passed away
Something about this place changed
We were waiting for signals of love
But you were cold and I guess you'd had enoughSpoke my name, I felt your pain
As your eyes cloud up and then close shutI saw your soul leave this room like it was sick of you
You had this look on your face like you were thinking
Just take me away
I'll never change
Take me away
I will never changeMy father was broken and low
And I saw a side that he'd never shown
So many secrets he'd kept
Some things he was forced to acceptSpoke my name, I felt your pain
As your eyes cloud up and then close shutI saw your soul leave this room like it was sick of you
You had this look on your face like you were thinking
Just take me away
I'll never change
Take me away

I will never change
Take me awayCrossed his heart and hoped to die
I know you fought so hard
And held your pride
I wish you knew my thoughts
And heard my voice
Cause I was tied and knots
But stood with poise
And when you spoke my name
I felt pain as your eyes cloud up then closed shutI saw your soul leave this room like it was sick of you
You had this look on your face like you were thinking
Just take me away
I'll never change
Take me away
I will never change

The Plot in You is a metalcore band originally starting as a side-project of former Before Their Eyes (Rise Records) guitarist/vocalist, Landon Tewers, quickly became his main focus. Forming in Findlay, OH after parting ways with BTE, a solid line-up for the band was formed and work on their debut EP was underway. "Wife Beater" (InVogue Records) was both heavy as well as haunting, where lyrically Tewers gives you a look inside the lives of people he has come into contact with over the years.
